Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation rebrands itself

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation of Thunder Bay, ON has undertaken a rebranding initiative intended to update its image and enhance its fundraising efforts. The charitable organization raises funds for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The work was done by Karacters Design Group of Toronto in association with Generator of Thunder Bay. The assignment included a new visual identity along with various collateral materials. The new look uses the image of the sun with orange rays representing the foundation's "multidisciplinary approach to healthcare fundraising." Variations on the logo will be used for communications specific to cancer, cardiology and research. "It's not easy to modernize a well-known brand with such deep-seeded community roots," said Glenn Craig, president and CEO of the foundation. "The fresh look allows us the flexibility we need to grow the foundation and a visual presence in the community that donors can easily identify with. The fact that the new family of logos is so closely linked to the parent brand and that they all flow into each other is key. The community has embraced our new look and find the timeliness of the brand transformation impeccable."
