By Adnews Staff
London-based WPP has acquired a majority stake in Plano.Trio Comunicação of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The agency specializes in point-of-purchase work, design, marketing and communications. Plano.Trio, which also has offices in Curitiba and Porto Alegre, will continue to operate as a standalone business. The firm has approximately 350 employees. Its clients include Grendene, Nokia, Procter & Gamble, Vivo and Whirlpool. "We will have access to better resources and intelligence, as well as increase our leverage with suppliers," said Plano.Trio president Guilherme Milnitsky. "This will benefit not only our current clients, but those of our sister companies who choose to tap into our specialized in-store expertise."
