Maple Leaf Foods conducts Simply Fresh campaign

Maple Leaf Foods has begun an advertising campaign to promote a new product line called Maple Leaf Simply Fresh, a collection of non-frozen, microwavable entrees and soups. The campaign, created by John St. of Toronto, promotes the line as “a revolution in fresh food.” The television commercial depicts a tomato leading a parade of vegetables, pasta and chicken across a kitchen counter while military-style music plays in the background. “We wanted the food to look real, but at the same time, we needed the food to look alive and have personality,” said writer Gerald Kugler. The commercial is being supported with radio and in-store advertising, along with product sampling and in-store promotions conducted by Buzz Worthy.
