Bell Globemedia to become CTVglobemedia

Bell Globemedia of Toronto will change its name to CTVglobemedia on Jan. 1, 2007. According to the company, the change reflects a recent ownership restructuring in which BCE reduced its stake in Bell Globemedia from 68.5% to 15%. The Woodbridge Company holds 40% of the company, the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board holds 25% and Torstar holds 20%. Bell Globemedia owns CTV and The Globe and Mail, as well as a 15% interest in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and various other investments.
