CanWest MediaWorks of Toronto has issued a call for entries for a new program called the Working.com Employer of Choice Marketing Awards. The initiative, conducted through the company’s job-hunting website Working.com, will recognize “exceptional recruitment advertising creative developed to attract and retain potential and current employees and connect with the general public.” Awards will be distributed in categories including print, broadcast and online advertising, overall campaigns, recruitment event marketing, internal communication programs and community initiatives, among others. “In this competitive age of corporate recruitment, a compelling employment brand is one of the most powerful tools an organization can leverage in order to gain a competitive edge,” said Susan Hayes, general manager of Working.com. “Canada’s top employers are quickly recognizing that differentiating their organizations as employers of choice helps secure the talent they seek. It’s time to recognize and promote the most exceptional examples in this creative arena.” A website for the awards has been constructed at <http://www.ecmarketingawards.com>. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 16, 2007. The winners will be announced on March 25, 2007.
