Ontario Medical Association begins healthier care campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto-based Ontario Medical Association has begun a new public awareness initiative in that province called the “Campaign for Healthier Care.” The effort is intended to raise awareness of the increasing demands that will be placed on the province’s health care system over the next 20 years. The campaign includes newspaper advertising, a website at <http://www.healthiercare.ca> and information distributed through doctors’ offices. The initiative will also include polling, public consultations and the production of a paper about the future of health care in Ontario. The campaign, created by Manifest Communications of Toronto, will continue through 2008.
