Veterans Affairs Canada conducts Remembrance Day campaign

Veterans Affairs Canada has begun a promotional campaign called "What if every day was Remembrance Day?" The campaign, developed by Manifest Communications of Toronto, is running for the three weeks leading up to Remembrance Day. It consists of a 30-second television commercial, online ads and social media activities. The creative encourages Canadians to honour the country's veterans. The ads also invite viewers to use a Facebook application to thank veterans, or to use Twitter to express their support.

"We really wanted to underscore the idea that everything we enjoy as Canadians in our daily lives is made possible by Canada's veterans," said Jim Diorio, creative director at Manifest. "We're suggesting that remembering is something we should do more than one day a year, because our veterans never forgot their obligations to us."
