Toronto-based specialty channel MTV has signed-on as the exclusive media sponsor of the LifeStyles Condoms Love Fest Tour. The tour, conducted by Ansell Healthcare Products in support of its LifeStyles Condoms brand, will visit 18 Canadian nightclubs and campus venues between Sept. 13 and Nov. 25 in an effort to promote safer sex practices to young adults. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research. MTV will have a branded presence at each event. “MTV is a leader in Canada with its pro-social efforts regarding HIV and AIDS awareness,” said Mark Shedletsky, director of marketing and brand partnerships at MTV. “A partnership with Love Fest is a great vehicle for us to promote HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention while connecting with the MTV audience and reminding them to practice safer sex.” MTV in Canada is managed by CTV.
