ROYAL BANK EXPANDS LOYALTY PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
The Royal Bank of Canada expanded its Royal Reward points program last week. Royal's Visa card users can now collect points worth $1 each toward the purchase of a new Chrysler vehicle. Card users get one point for every $100 charged. The maximum number allowed is 1,000 points. The joint promotion with Chrysler Canada is scheduled to run until the end of August. Royal card-holder services vice-president Jane Fershko told Adnews yesterday that it was too soon to say whether the temporary program will become permanent. Direct mail advertising is supporting the Chrysler promo. It is being done by Ross Roy Communications of Detroit. Royal Visa users can already collect points for rewards such as travel and merchandise.
