Schering Canada of Pointe-Claire, QC has begun an out-of-home advertising campaign for its Claritin allergy medication. In Toronto, transit ads depicting soccer imagery have been installed in six downtown subway stations. In the tunnel leading to the Yonge-Eglinton station, the poster is accompanied by artificial grass on the adjacent floor. A similar installation has also been assembled in a Montreal transit tunnel. The creative uses the tagline, “That’s clear. Claritin clear.” “We want allergy sufferers to know that by taking the right medication, such as antihistamines like Claritin, they can resume their normal activities and feel alert and focused outdoors,” said Jean Lachance, product manager for Claritin. The campaign, which began on Aug. 14 and will run until late September, was developed by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal.
