New general manager at Torstar Media Group Television

Mark Goodale has been appointed to the position of vice-president and general manager of Torstar Media Group Television. The unit operates ShopTV Canada, a 24-hour direct response channel in south central Ontario, and video production facility TMG TV Productions. Goodale most recently headed the circulation and marketing departments at The Hamilton Spectator. He joined the paper in 2002 as head of the human resources department.
