WestJet retains Wakeham & Associates for sponsorship program

Calgary-based WestJet has hired Wakeham & Associates Marketing of Toronto to handle the activation of a new sponsorship program called “Fun n’ Festival.” The agency will work to create an on-site presence for WestJet at approximately festivals nationally during the next eight months. The airline hired Wakeham following a national request for proposals that drew an unknown number of submissions. “Their extensive experience in sponsorship marketing, creativity and track record with corporate sponsorship activation programs and, in particular, their involvement in numerous festivals, made them the ideal candidate for this project,” said Scott Hartley, manager of sponsorship, promotions and community investment at WestJet.
