Axela Biosensors hires marketing vice-president

Toronto-based laboratory equipment maker Axela Biosensors has hired Paul Smith as vice-president of sales and marketing. Smith was most recently vice-president of sales for Europe and North America at Ciphergen Biosystems. Prior to that, he was at Beckman Coulter.
