P&G TESTS FABRIC FRESHENER
By Adnews Staff
Procter & Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio is taking the stink out of consumers' clothing and household fabrics without washing or dry cleaning them. The company will begin testing a new fabric spray in three U.S. markets on May 20. Called Febreze, the product takes smells out of fabric by trapping the odor molecules inside the fabric's fibres to neutralize the offensive odor. The product may come to Canada, but the company can't say when, spokesperson Jacqui D'Eon told Adnews yesterday. TV and print advertising is supporting Febreze in the U.S. It was created by Grey Advertising of New York.
