Toronto.com readies summer campaign

City guide website Toronto.com has prepared a $1.4 million dollar advertising campaign in the Greater Toronto Area to promote its redesigned restaurant, event and movie finding features. The newspaper campaign, which will run over the summer, was created by Bensimon Byrne. The ads depict various searches for restaurants, events and movies. One ad juxtaposes a restaurant search for the Cadillac Lounge with an event search for the Auto Show and a movie search for “Big Rig II - Earl's Revenge.” “We've recently completed a number of tremendous improvements in the content and usability of our site and this advertising campaign is designed to ensure that Torontonians know where to go for all you want to know about T.O.,” said Huw Morgan, general manager of the site.
