Prestige & Luxury Marketing Council of Canada launched

A new organization called the Prestige & Luxury Marketing Council of Canada has been formed in Toronto. The not-for-profit group will work to serve the interests of Canadian marketers of luxury goods and services. The council aims to attract as members senior-level marketing personnel from the automotive, entertainment, fashion, financial, food, wine, lifestyle, media, real estate, retail and travel sectors, among others. Its activities will include online and live meetings at which members can discuss the issues related to attracting affluent consumers. “This is an association whose time has come”, said chairman Mark Cohan. “The Canadian luxury marketplace has its own unique needs, as do those who cater to it. Our members share the goal of pursuit of the uncommon customer.”
