HMV PROMOTES GREENER EARTH

HMV Canada of Toronto is making Canada a little greener. The music retailer launched a CD this week featuring 17 different Canadian recording artists, and has pledged to turn over revenue from the CD to Earth Day Canada for its Canadian Natural Highway program. The money will be used to plant trees and grass across the country. In addition, HMV is selling 20 other CDs and donating a portion of sales for the next three weeks to Earth Day Canada. National print advertising for the promotion began yesterday. It was created by Taxi Advertising & Design of Toronto.
