INTEL CONSOLIDATES ADVERTISING

California-based Intel Corp. has consolidated its estimated $100 million(US) worldwide advertising account with Euro RSCG of Paris. Dahlin Smith White of Salt Lake City, Utah, will continue to handle the North American ad assignment because Euro has bought a 70% stake in the U.S. shop. In Canada, the Toronto office of Western International Media will continue handling media buying. Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto does PR. A print and TV campaign created by Dahlin Smith and Euro will start running in Canada in mid-April, focusing on the redesigned Intel World Wide Web site. The ads began running in the U.S. last week. Euro will handle creative and media in all countries outside North America except Japan, where Dentsu Inc. of Tokyo will remain Intel's agency. The computer chip maker has had Euro doing advertising in the Asian and Pacific markets outside Japan since 1991. Recently the French shop began working on the Intel business in Brazil. In joining the Euro ranks, Dahlin Smith becomes a sister shop to agencies such as Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmeterer Euro RSCG of New York, Tatham Euro RSCG of Chicago and health care agencies Robert A. Becker and Lally, McFarland & Pantello.
