Dentsu Aegis Network buys Fetch Media

The London-based Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired Fetch Media, a mobile agency also based in London. According to the company, Fetch will retain its brand identity as it bolsters the mobile capabilities of Dentsu Aegis' brand, media and communications units. Fetch has a staff of 96 and additional offices in the US, Germany and Hong Kong. Its services include mobile strategy, media, creative and analytics. Fetch co-founder and CEO James Connelly will continue to head the agency, along with its existing management staff.

"With consumers increasingly engaging with brands through mobile devices, mobile media has become a critical part of the communication ecosystem and a key driver for business outcomes," said Robert Horler, CEO for northern Europe at Dentsu Aegis Network. "Growing our digital profile across all capabilities is one of our five strategic priorities and this deal clearly recognizes the potential we see in both Fetch and the wider mobile market."

Dentsu Aegis Network is a subsidiary of Dentsu Inc. comprising agency brands Carat, Dentsu, Dentsu Media, IProspect, Isobar, Mcgarrybowen, Posterscope and Vizeum.
