CANADIAN TIRE PLAYS ON NOSTALGIA

Canadian Tire launched a TV campaign yesterday with a new theme. The three commercials focus on the fondness and sense of history the retailer says people feel for the chain. The spots touch on memories of buying a first bike or first pair of skates at Canadian Tire. The spots say "Everyday low Prices. That's good. Canadian Tire Money, great weekly sales and the brands you want. That's better." The tag line for the ads is "Canadian Tire. Everyday low prices made better." The ads will be supported by Canadian Tire's flyers and point-of-purchase materials. The campaign was created by Doner, Schur, Peppler of Toronto.
