TOSHIBA PRODUCES CHEAP NOTEBOOK

Toshiba of Canada is adding is adding a model to its line of Satellite notebook computers, later this month, that will be its lowest priced Pentium model. The computer maker says the Toshiba Satellite 100CS is designed for customers on a tight budget who need a notebook for office applications such as word processing and spreadsheets. Print advertising for the machines began last week. It was created by Promanad Communications of Mississauga, Ont. Toshiba slashed prices last week by up to 19% on five of its older Satellite notebook machines.
