TIRE COMPANY GETS READY FOR WINTER

Bridgestone/Firestone Canada of Mississauga, Ont. wants drivers to start thinking winter. The tire maker launched a radio and point-of-sale campaign last week for its Blizzak winter tire. The ads highlight a 1-800 number offering more information on the tires, a $5 rebate per tire next spring for cutomers who change back to their all-season tires at a Bridgestone outlet, and a $7.50 discount per tire for those buying new all-season tires next spring. The ads were created by Promanad Communications of Mississauga, Ont. Blizzak tires are designed to stick to ice without metal studs.
