VANCOUVER SHOP CREATES ANIMAL HUGGING CAMPAIGN

Lanyon Phillips Brink Advertising of Vancouver is launching an anti-fur campaign later this month in one of the world's fashion centres, New York. TV and magazine ads use the catchline "How Fur Looks Before The Gassing, Clubbing and Electrocution." They show face-on photographs of a raccoon, harp seal, Siberian lynx, red fox and wolf. LPB was chosen to do the campaign on the strength of outdoor work it has done for BC Ferries and the Vancouver Museum. The client is The Friends of Animals, a U.S.-based organization which is against the slaughter of animals for the production of clothing.
