MATSUSHITA SUPPORTS ROWING

Matsushita of Japan is offering a free trip to the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics in a promotion connected to its sponsorship of Canada's national rowing ream. The Canadian contest will be launched in November, backed by collateral and point-of-purchase materials created by Scott Thornley & Company of Toronto. Matsushita is promoting its Panasonic brand in the sponsorship. Next spring the company will have its agency launch a multimedia campaign to support the team. Late last month, Matsushita ran a print ad after the team returned with four medals from the world championships in Finland. Scott Thornley has also designed jackets, shirts, caps and bags for the team.
