TRAVELLING WITH FEWER AIR MILES
By Adnews Staff
Loyalty Management Group Canada has made it easier for Air Miles collectors to fly for free. Beginning this week, when users collect air miles from at least five different sponsors, they cut in half the travel miles they need to fly free to selected Canadian carrier destinations of 1,500 miles or more, round trip. In addition, the program has new travel reward options such as free car rentals and hotel accommodations, as well as discounts on Royal Caribbean Cruises, bus travel and leisure tour packages. Discounts are also available on U.S. car rentals and hotels. Advertising to promote the lower number of travel miles needed began this week using print, TV, direct mail and point-of-purchase. Young & Rubicam Advertising of Toronto did the print and TV ads. Wunderman Worldwide of Toronto is handling the direct mail. Point-of-purchase materials were created by Gristmill Marketing of Markham, Ont. and PR is being done by NATIONAL Public Relations of Toronto.
