TOY COMPANY TEAMS UP WITH COMPUTER MAKER

Houston-based Compaq Computer Corp. has joined forces with Fisher-Price to manufacture and market a line of education and entertainment PC products for children. The toys will be introduced in mid-1996. Fisher-Price, a subsidiary of U.S.-based Mattel Inc., will join its expertise in designing products that children enjoy to Compaq's technology. The line will be distributed through the sales channels of both companies, with each firm promoting the products on its own. In Canada, Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of handles Compaq's advertising while Ogilvy & Mather Advertising works for Mattel. The Canadian divisions of both agencies are based in Toronto.
