Ro-Na Dismat of Boucherville, Que. has shown an increase in sales and net income this year. These increases "confirm the effectiveness of our strategy of serving both the warehouse store segment and those market segments targeting more specialized offerings," president and CEO Robert Dutton says in a release. "The needs of consumers are varied and complex, and no one retail format can respond to all such needs," he said. During the first half of 1995, Ro-Na had net earnings of $3 million, a 16.6% increase over the same period last year. Net income for the second quarter was $2.2 million, a 14.5% increase over last year. Sales for the first half of the year jumped 14.6% to $313.6 million. Ro-Na Dismat operates hardware stores, home renovation centre, gardening centres and warehouse outlets in Quebec, under the Rénovateur Ro-Na, Botanix, Le Quincailler Ro-Na, Le Quincailleur, Dismat and Ro-Na L'entrepet banners.
