Fisher-Price Canada begins new promotions

Toy company Fisher-Price Canada has begun a promotion called the "Best Little Laugh" contest. To enter, parents or legal guardians of children can upload an audio clip or video of their child's laughter to a website at <http://www.bestlittlelaugh.ca>. Entrants can also share the clip with others through various social networking sites. The submitter of the laugh that attracts the most online votes will win a prize package of Fisher-Price worth $2,500, plus a year's worth of diapers and a Kodak digital video camera. Fifty secondary prizes will also be awarded. In addition, the company will conduct a travelling promotion called the "Fisher-Price Playtime Tour" in Ontario from Aug. 19 to Oct. 2. At the approximately 25 stops on the tour, parents and children will be able to play with a range of Fisher-Price toys. Both promotions will feature the recently-introduced new look and feel for the brand, which will also be used in future advertising and at retail locations. "With a legacy of three-quarters of a century dedicated to quality, safety, play value and ingenuity, Fisher-Price has been the leader in toys for parents and caregivers," said Donna Polimac, senior marketing manager at Fisher-Price. "The new look of the brand reflects this, going back to those basics, using the primary colours and brighter shades as a way to differentiate and stand out from the competition. The blue, green and purple colours of the brand represent the three areas of focus for Fisher-Price: play, laugh and grow." Fisher-Price is a subsidiary of Mattel.
