LABATT PROMOTES BASKETBALL

Labatt Breweries of Canada is sending 400 Ontario Labatt Ice drinkers to the first Toronto Raptors home game on Nov. 3 . The brewer has put scratch and win ballots for pairs of tickets to the NBA game in almost 300,000 cases of Labatt Ice, re-designed to sport Raptors logos. Advertising for the promotion began last week using TV, radio, print and transit. The ads were created by Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of Toronto. The promotion was developed by Echo Advertising and Marketing and Promotions Group, both of Toronto. The packaging was designed by Shikatani Lacroix Design of Toronto. Labatt is the beer sponsor for both NBA teams in Canada: the Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies.
