Cole Abrams Blake becomes The Collective

Toronto-based marketing agency Cole Abrams Blake Communications has changed its name to The Collective. The new name is intended to reflect recent staff additions at the firm. In late 2005 the company hired Marilyn Sherman as vice-president and media director, while Deidre Plotnick joined the firm as vice-president and creative director. Both were previously at Echo Advertising. Paul Grundy, who was previously at Endeavour Marketing, joined the agency as associate creative director. Kevin Narraway has been hired as an account director. He was previously at Cundari Integrated Advertising. "Our new name signifies the coming together of a team of seasoned professionals," said agency president David Abrams. "Being able to assemble a group of people with this amount of talent and expertise, all in one round, is quite a coup." The Collective's clients include Brookfield Properties, First Pro Shopping Centres, Manulife Financial, Oxford Properties, RioCan REIT, the Bloor Yorkville Santé Wine Festival, Retirement Life Communities and Wind Up Records.
