Ziploc begins Surprise Seconds campaign

SC Johnson has begun a campaign for its Ziploc brand called “Surprise Seconds.” The campaign encourages consumers to find interesting things to do with leftover food. It features a branded food truck offering a “Wheel of Sandwiches” developed in association with Toronto chef Eric Chong and Too Good To Go, a company specializing in surplus food redistribution. The truck will visit Toronto on Sept. 29. The promotion also includes social media and website content consisting of recipes and food storage advice, as well asl out-of-home ads.

“Making something new with leftovers is one of the simplest ways to make the most of the food we have,” said Chong. “Instead of thinking of leftovers as a repeat of yesterday's meal, I like to look at them as ingredients for something completely new. Ziploc bags help you extend the life of food, and with ‘Surprise Seconds’ I hope we can inspire people to get creative using what they already have to create something they might not have thought of before.”
