Call2Recycle begins campaign

Call2Recycle of Toronto has begun a campaign called “How Do You Recycle Your Batteries, Canada?” Developed by Scratch, the campaign is intended to raise awareness of battery recycling and disposal. It encourages consumers to drop off used batteries at a Call2Recycle location. A contest component provides an incentive to do so, which consumers can enter by scanning a quick response code on in-stores signs. The campaign also makes use of digital and social media advertising, as well as a television commercial.
“Responsible battery recycling is a vital step towards a sustainable future, and we believe that our multi-faceted approach will resonate with Canadians from coast to coast to coast.” said Robert Wise, a partner at Scratch. “Together with Call2Recycle, we are confident that this campaign will lead to the success of our shared mission [of] creating a greener, cleaner Canada.”
