Call2Recycle conducts Lead the Charge campaign

Call2Recycle of Toronto is conducting a campaign in Canada and the United States called "Lead the Charge" intended to raise awareness of National Battery Day on Feb. 18. The campaign, developed in association with M&K Media of Toronto, consists of digital, print and radio advertising, as well as a contest component. Consumers can enter by posting images of themselves on social media sites recycling a battery at one of the company's locations. Eight winners will receive $250 shopping sprees. The effort will run until the end of the month.

"We had originally hired M&K Media last year due to their extensive not-for-profit experience and growing sustainability practice," said Sandra Abuwalla, marketing director at Call2Recycle Canada. "Once we saw success in Canada we enlisted M&K to extend their media planning and buying service to the United States."
