Call2Recycle begins Earth Day campaign

Toronto-based recycling company Call2Recycle Canada has begun a spring campaign that encourages consumers to recycle old batteries. The effort depicts getting rid of used batteries as a way to declutter a living space. The campaign includes a contest component, the winners of which will receive a "Charged Up Battery Kit." The effort is timed to coincide with Earth Day on April 22.

"By breaking the battery hoarder habit, consumers can organize their living spaces, recycle used batteries and do something positive for the planet," said Linda Gabor, vice-president of marketing and customer service at Call2Recycle.
