Havana Club signs promotional deal with Roy Woods

Corby Spirit and Wine has signed a promotional agreement with musician Roy Woods to support of the launch of Havana Club Cuban Smoky rum in Canada. The dark rum is part-aged in whisky barrels to give it a “sophisticated smoky flavor,” according to the company. Woods will participate in a variety of promotional activities for the product.
“We have a new kid on the block and it is bringing the smoke," says Aurelie Goffinet, brand manager at Corby. “Cuban Smoky is the first of its kind in the Canadian market, the intense brother of Havana Club 7, and it is shaking up the rum shelves in the liquor store.”
