407 ETR gives free travel to family with newborn

Toronto-based highway operator 407 ETR has given a year of free travel on the toll road to the family of a baby that was recently born on the side of the highway. The company has also donate to the family a gift certificate for child safety seats. On May 10, Troy and Erika Campbell were traveling Highway 407 on the way to the hospital for the birth of the child. However, the baby arrived before they could reach the hospital, and the child was delivered in the car on the side of the road with the assistance of telephone support from a 911 dispatcher and the family’s midwife.
“The Campbells demonstrated amazing strength under very stressful circumstances and we are thrilled that mom and baby are doing well after this emergency delivery,” said Javier Tamargo, president and CEO of 407 ETR. “It's not every day that we're part of story like this, and we're happy to send our congratulations to the Campbells with a gift to help them transport their young family around the GTA as quickly and safely as possible.”
