Dairy Farmers of Manitoba begin Eat Local campaign

Winnipeg-based Dairy Farmers of Manitoba has begun a new campaign called “Love Local Eat Local” intended to support local restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative will offer free advertising to locally-owned Manitoba restaurants as a way to increase take-out and delivery orders, as well as to maintain relationships with consumers. The campaign includes transit shelter, billboard, radio, social media and digital advertising. Additional components will include a contest and influencer activities. The promotion will run until the end of June. It was developed by Toronto-based agency Humanity. The digital and social media elements are being handled by the T1 Agency.

“Now more than ever, it’s important that we come together to support each other,” said David Wiens, chair of Dairy Farmers of Manitoba. “Just like Manitoba dairy farms, local restaurants are proudly owned and operated small businesses. We are proud to support local Manitoba restaurants that are so important to our communities.”
