Export Development Canada begins Business as Unusual campaign

Ottawa-based Crown corporation Export Development Canada has begun a new campaign called “Business as Unusual.” Developed by McCann Canada, the campaign is intended to highlight the “remarkable fortitude shown by Canadian businesses” during the COVID-19 pandemic. It features real stories from EDC clients Shopify, Relogix and Snapcab about adapting to the situation. The national campaign includes television, online video, radio, print and digital advertising, as well as social media content. Media work is being handled by Media Experts.

“Times have been incredibly challenging, and many businesses are still struggling to survive,” said Dave Roberts, executive creative director at McCann Montreal. “You can’t help but be in awe of the wherewithal and the entrepreneurial spirit of Canadian businesses as they navigate these ‘business as unusual’ times. When you hear how they’ve dug deep to find new ways of thinking, new ways of operating, it really motivates you to strive to build back better.”
