Postmedia begins Reopening Canada program
By Adnews Staff
Postmedia Network of Toronto has begun a content initiative called “Reopening Canada” as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease. The effort takes the form of a collection of editorial content examining how various businesses nationally plan to reopen. A special print edition will be published on June 27 in the Financial Post, accompanied by online content.
In addition, Postmedia has launched a marketing grant program intended to provide advertising support to local businesses that have been affected by the pandemic. The program will include full grants focusing on the restaurant, tourism and hospitality sectors, among others, as well as a program through which companies can apply for matching media spending from the publisher for an ad campaign. The program is located at <http://www.postmediasolutions.com/grant>.
“We’re all in this together as we work to emerge from this unprecedented and ongoing crisis,” said Andrew MacLeod, president and CEO of Postmedia. “At Postmedia, we want to leverage our 125-plus brands and over 17 million monthly unique visitors to support the economic reopening of our country. So many industries have been devastated by this crisis, none more so than the restaurant, tourism and hospitality sectors. We want to support these and all industries as we turn our focus to reopening the country and economic growth.”
