Dairy Farmers of Canada begins Here for Canada campaign

The Ottawa-based Dairy Farmers of Canada has begun a new campaign called “Here for Canada,” intended to reassure consumers about the continued availability of dairy products during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign highlights the safety protocols followed on Canadian dairy farms and features farmers adapting to the present public health situation.

In accordance with public health safety measures intended to limit the transmission of the virus, the campaign creative was assembled from video that has appeared in past advertising campaigns. The campaign is aimed primarily at millennial and younger-aged consumers as well as the broader population. The two-week campaign will run until May 5, comprising television and digital advertising in English and French.

“Dairy farmers are working harder than ever to help feed Canadians at one of the most formidable times in our history, while maintaining their rigorous commitments to milk quality, food safety and responsible production practices,” said Pamela Nalewajek, vice-president of marketing at the organization. “We wanted to highlight Canadian dairy farmers' exceptional efforts to provide consumers with high-quality Canadian dairy in this challenging environment.”
