CBC sponsors Bentway skating rink

CBC Sports has formed an agreement with Toronto-based outdoor venue The Bentway in support of its coverage of the World Figure Skating Championships. Through this agreement, the venue’s ice skating trail will remain open to users until March 22. The sponsorship includes a musical playlist provided by CBC Music that will play during skating hours, personal appearances by figure skaters Kurt Browning and Asher Hill, and live coverage of the competition at the venue. The World Figure Skating Championships will take place in Montreal from March 16 to 22.
“Our unique collaboration with The Bentway allows us to bring the excitement of the World Figure Skating Championships to the Toronto community, including local fans and visitors of all ages,” said Chris Wilson, executive director of sports and Olympics at CBC. “It’s a special occasion to have this world-class event in our home country, and we’re proud to offer skating fans the opportunity to not only experience the event, but also participate in a beloved Canadian winter sport that brings people together for a healthy and fun activity.”
