United Church Observer rebrands as Broadview

Toronto-based magazine The United Church Observer has rebranded as Broadview. The new name is intended to convey the “open-mindedness and inclusivity that the publication shares with its readers who are exploring what it means to live a purpose-filled, values-driven life.” The rebranding also includes a new website at <http://www.broadview.org>. This is the fourth time the magazine has changed its name in its 190-year history.

“Evolving to meet the needs of our current and future readers is part of how we've thrived for 190 years,” said Jocelyn Bell, publisher and editor of Broadview. “As we approach two centuries of publishing, we believe now is the right time to celebrate our past, take stock of the present and create a new brand that will help to ensure our future. Issues of spirituality, ethical living and social justice are important to most Canadians. We believe Broadview offers a new community to all who embrace the values of progressive Christian Canadians.”
