Great-West Life, London Life, Canada Life to merge brands

Insurance companies Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life have announced a plan to consolidate their operations under the single brand of Canada Life in the Canadian market. The brand will be used to communicate products and services across all of their lines of business. Parent companies Canada Life Financial and London Insurance Group are in the process of merging into a single entity to be called The Canada Life Assurance Company. According to the companies, subsidiaries such as Quadrus Investment Services, Freedom 55 Financial, GWL Realty Advisors and GLC Asset Management Group will retain their current branding.
“Today marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for our companies in Canada,” said Paul Mahon, president and CEO of Great-West. “Bringing our companies together under one brand will allow us to deliver a simpler and unified experience for our customers, advisors and consultants.”
