Communications & Public Relations Foundation selects board
The Toronto-based Communications & Public Relations Foundation has selected a new board of directors. Bruce MacLellan, president and CEO of Environics Communications, has been appointed chair of the board. Robert Paddon, executive vice-president of strategic planning and public affairs at Translink, has been appointed vice-chair. Marlene Klassen, assistant vice-president of Great-West Life, has also been appointed vice-chair. Accountant Laura Balbinot has been appointed secretary and treasurer.
Directors of the board include Nancy Arab of National Public Relations, Robert Batherson of Colour, Lydia Boyko of Humber College, David Brodie of Citizen Relations, David Milliken, formerly of CNW Group, Andrew Molson of Res Publica, Blair Peberdy of Weber Shandwick, Chitra Reddin, of Communications Solutions, Norman Stowe of Pace Group, and independent consultants Yanik Deschênes, Joel Levesque, Gordon McIvor and Mark Seland.
The Communications & Public Relations Foundation is a charitable organization that provides support to communications and public relations education. It is an initiative of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
