Humber College, CPRS begin pilot project

The Canadian Public Relations Society and Toronto-based Humber College have begun a joint initiative intended to enhance the school's PR education program. The school has appointed Eileen Tobey to the position of fellow in residence as part of a one-year pilot project. Tobey is the CEO of Toronto-based BeSpeak Communications and a fellow of the society. She will act as a source of professional experience for the school's students and faculty.

"We're proud CPRS continues to play a leadership role in advocating for our profession and congratulate Eileen on being chosen to introduce future communicators to our vision," said Dana Dean, national president of the society. "By partnering with Humber, we'll now be able to instill the principles of the CPRS Code of Professional Standards from day one, creating a strong foundation of professional ethics on which students can build lifelong careers."
