Aldo prepares Get Ready campaign

Montreal-based footwear company Aldo Group will begin a fall marketing campaign called "Get Ready" on Aug. 9. The effort will include out-of-home advertising and in-store materials, as well as online, mobile and social media components focusing on the company's Aldo Mx sneaker brand. According to the company, the creative is intended to depict "the excitement and anticipation of life's most defining events." The first execution depicts people preparing to skydive. The campaign was developed by Wednesday.

"We know the people who shop at Aldo believe that what they wear is a reflection of who they are," said Daianara Grullon Amalfitano, a senior vice-president at Aldo. "Latest insights have told us how important preparation is to them and that there is an entire culture around getting ready, from playlists, to articles, to prep routines. We've always been invested in creating personal experiences, no matter where our consumers shop or interact with the brand. With this campaign, we strive to connect further with our global community by celebrating these anticipatory moments with them, being part of their journey."
