New marketing vice-president at Boston Pizza

Mississauga-based restaurant chain Boston Pizza International has appointed Peter Blackwell to the position of senior vice-president of marketing communications. He will lead the company's efforts to rebrand itself as an "approachable, family-friendly sports bar" aimed at millennial-aged consumers. Blackwell was most recently head of marketing at Volkswagen Canada. Prior to that, he was vice-president of marketing at Canadian Tire, director of strategy at Kraft Canada and marketing director at Warner-Lambert. He also operated his own brand consulting firm called 4thought.
