New president of Toronto Blue Jays

Rogers Communications of Toronto has appointed Mark Shapiro to the position of president and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays and Rogers Centre. He will begin work at the end of the team's 2015 season, when outgoing president and CEO Paul Beeston will retire. Shapiro has spent the last 24 years working for the Cleveland Indians baseball team and was president of the organization for the last five.
