Bell Canada, Kilmer Group buy Toronto Argonauts

Bell Canada and Toronto-based investment company Kilmer Group have reached an agreement to acquire the Toronto Argonauts Football Club from owner David Braley. The transaction is expected to close on Dec. 31. No financial details are available.
The team will begin playing at BMO Field beginning with the 2016 Canadian Football League season. Kilmer Group chair Larry Tanenbaum is also chair of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, which owns BMO Field. Bell Media properties TSN and RDS hold the exclusive media rights to all CFL pre-season and regular season games, as well as the playoffs and the Grey Cup game.
