Aimia buys Zinc

Montreal-based loyalty program company Aimia has acquired Zinc of the United Kingdom. The company specializes in behavioral segmentation products and consulting services relating to store management, electronic commerce, merchandising and category management. Aimia will add Zinc's services to its own. Zinc was founded in 2010 and has five employees. It operates across the UK and Europe.

"Modern marketers know that to be successful in business, you need to understand your customer, who they are, how they want to engage and what they value," said Marc Allsop, head of global business development at Aimia. "By integrating Zinc's cutting edge segmentation tools into Aimia's existing suite of products, we will be able to provide our clients with even greater insight into their customers, faster and more cost effectively than ever."
